Remote Fitting


85% of golfers can fit into the Honu standard specifications, if you feel a putter fitting is necessitated we offer remote fitting at no charge. We have 3x PGA club fitter of year on staff and a program designed specifically for this service. 

Please send us 3 pictures and answer 3 questions:
(1) Is your tempo slow, medium or fast ?
(2) Your hand size small, medium or large ?
(3) Do you have preferred shaft length ?

OJ Amaya - San Diego, CA

As a graduate of the San Diego Golf Academy, O.J. Amaya began his PGA apprenticeship at EastLake Country Club, Chula Vista, CA in 1992. He became a Class A PGA Member and returned to the San Diego Golf-Academy as an instructor in 1996. In 1999, O.J. went to work for Henry-Griffitts, the company that pioneered custom fit golf clubs, training other golf instructors in the art and science of teaching and club fitting. He returned to EastLake Country Club as a teaching professional in 2005 and was honored as the San Diego Chapter PGA Clubfitter of the Year that year. O.J. was also an assistant golf coach at Francis Parker School from 2006-2014 working with the Boy’s & Girl’s Varsity, JV and Middle School teams. In 2020, O.J.’s Junior Golf Academy moved to Chula Vista Golf Course. O.J is a US Kids Golf Certified Instructor, is TPI Certified Level 1, Junior Level 2 & Golf Level 3, a Golfing Machine Authorized Instructor and joins an elite team of Master Clubfitters for Henry-Griffitts, Inc. I played golf at business and charity events 2-3 times a year on average until 2017 when at 55 I got serious and started playing regularly.

At that point I quickly discovered putting was 40-50% of the game AND the one area where it is possible for an amateur to be nearly as good as the PGA Tour Players, so I began to study, learn, practice and improve putting.

People began to ask for putting tips and offering to pay me for lessons and several of my friends and students suggested I start a YouTube channel to give putting tips and drills and help people make more putts.
